For this shot I wanted a sultry look so asked
her to get close into the guitar and took advantage of her eyes. I moved the main light to create a Butterfly or Paramount style but left the hair/back light where it was. 1. Original Shot #17 From Camera . This shot had the sultry look to it I wanted and was, to me, reminiscent of the old studio Promo shots. But there was too much in it to distract from the "look."

2. The first thing to do was to crop it
into the face where the real picture was hiding and then soften it a bit... Here is the result of the crop and some softening using Photoshop tools including the "Dust and Scratches" and "Gaussian Blur." However after seeing it cropped and retouched I realized how much it reminded me of some of the studio Black and Whites so I decided to convert it to grayscale.
